「石雨』はコンピューターアニメーションを使わない本物のストップモーションだ。この制作過程は、私にとっていろいろな意味で隠れ家のようなものだった。
梅雨の時期に3週間、鞍馬山で撮影した。雨の日だけを選んだので、水は本物です。
撮影中は、今世界で起きていることについて考えていた。だから、感情的にも技術的にも最もチャレンジングなプロジェクトのひとつだった。
サウンドはすべて撮影中に書き上げました。武田真彦はその音を編集し、アンビエント・ミュージックを制作した。
展覧会では、生まれて初めてVRを使いました。だから私も新しい技術を発見した。

「石雨」is real stop motion without computer animation. This creation process was like a retreat to me in many ways.
I shot the animation at Mount Kurama for 3 weeks during the rainy season. And I chose only rainy days, so the water is real.
While shooting, I was thinking about what's happening in the world right now. So it was one of the most emotionally and technically challenging projects.
All the sounds was written during the shooting. 武田真彦 edited the sounds and created an ambient music.
For the exhibition I used VR the first time in my life. So I was also discovering of a new technology.
